Metung Farmers' Market
Held between 8am – 12.30pm every 2nd Saturday of each month, come rain, hail or shine, the Metung market has been an institution for many years. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike mingle and enjoy fresh and local produce and stock up on pantry items, as well as purchase local arts and crafts. Set on the village green, and next to the famous Metung Hotel, the backdrop to the Metung market is stunning Bancroft Bay and of course the beautiful Metung Village.

Bairnsdale Farmers Market
A short 25-minute drive from Metung Hot Springs and Country Club, the Bairnsdale Farmers Market is held on the first Saturday of each month, between 8am and 12pm, at the Bairnsdale Secondary College Junior Campus oval on McKean Street in Bairnsdale. The market offers visitors a huge variety of locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables, pure honey, fudges, ice cream, pastas, preserves, eggs and farm direct meats as well as a variety of artisanal cakes, biscuits and organic breads, olive oil and soaps. This market is the perfect opportunity to stock up on beautiful East Gippsland produce on your way home from your stay in Metung.
Nicholson Twin Rivers Lions Market
The first Saturday of each month is Market Day in Johnsonville. The Nicholson Twin Rivers Lions Market is only a short drive from Metung Hot Springs and Country Club and it’s where you’ll find the perfect locally produced gifts and trinkets from one of the 35 stalls. The market runs from 8am and is located outside of the Johnsonville Hall.
Lakes Entrance Surf Club Foreshore Market
Located near the footbridge in Lakes Entrance, the Surf Club Foreshore Market is held on the first Sunday of every month between 9am-3pm. The market boasts a wonderful selection of local food and coffee vans that are guaranteed to set you up for the days. One you’re fed and watered, you’ll be ready to wander the many stalls and choose from a range of hand made and local products ideal for souvenirs and gifts that support local, art, crafts, produce and growers.
Lakes Entrance Seafood and Farmers' Market
The newest of the local markets, the Lakes Entrance seafood and Farmers market is a food lovers delight. Filled with East Gippsland’s finest produce and ingredients, the many market stalls holders allow you to sample their food before you buy. You’re even to buy your own fresh seafood, direct off the boats. Held on the third Saturday or Sunday of each month from 8.30am to 1pm this market is not to be missed and is located just a short 15-minute drive from Metung Hot Springs and Country Club.
Bairnsdale Howitt Park Market
The Howitt Park market is a thriving, community market run by members of the Rotary Club of Bairnsdale on the fourth Sunday of every month from 8:00am to 1:00pm. This market is one of East Gippsland's premier country markets and is renowned for its family friendly atmosphere. The Howitt Park Market regularly hosts around 155 stalls each month, including fresh local produce, arts, crafts, jewellery, plants, tools, furniture and more! There’s even regular live music, hot food offerings and great coffee in their food court area.
Paynesville Farmers' & Makers' Market
Situated around a 45-minute drive from Metung Hot Springs and Country Club, the Paynesville Farmers' & Makers' Market is held on every 4th Saturday of the month. Run by The Rotary Club of Mitchell River, the market is located on the foreshore in Paynesville and features the finest produce and crafts of East Gippsland.
